Fisheries “Nagļi” occupies about 2000 ha. This area includes ponds, dams, land under incubation workshop and mechanical workshop. Also area includes the river Malta, from which waters are filled all the fishing ponds.
A large part of the land is leased by fisheries. In the fisheries “Nagļi” are number of fish-farming departments: in the department Orenīšu – Drabāku is grown fish for the trade, in the department Zvejsalas – Ļodānu grows fish cub and fish of two summers, in winter ponds – fish are wintering.
